The apartment hotel Carillon Aparthotel has been officially opened in the heart of Old Riga

On Thursday, 21 May, the Keystone Collection hotel chain’s apartment hotel Carillon Aparthotel was officially opened.

Speeches at the hotel’s opening ceremony were delivered by Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs, Chairman of the Board of AmberStone Hotels Jānis Vilisons, Chairman of the Board of the hotel’s builder Pillar Contractor Jānis Lāčaunieks, as well as the hotel’s architect Vilnis Mičulis.

As previously reported, after approximately two years of reconstruction and renovation work, Carillon Aparthotel opened its doors to its first guests in December 2025. The hotel is located at 13 Pils Street, in the very heart of Old Riga — just a few steps from the Presidential Castle, museums and the city’s most popular leisure spots, making it a convenient choice both for short breaks in the Old Town and for long-term stays.

Carillon Aparthotel offers 61 apartments – from compact superior rooms to spacious family apartments and refined suite apartments. All apartments feature a convenient kitchen area, functional workspaces and a layout that makes guests feel at home.

During the reconstruction, an energy-efficient heating system was introduced, internal utility networks were modernized, and a quiet ventilation and air-conditioning system was installed. The interior is designed in Art Deco and Art Nouveau aesthetics, using natural materials and a nuanced color palette to create a refined and cozy atmosphere.

With the opening of the new hotel, the establishment of the Keystone Collection hotel chain, which began in 2023, is being realized. The chain currently includes two hotels – Konventa Sēta Hotel and Carillon Aparthotel. Both are located just a short walk from each other and organically complement one another. The key difference is that Carillon Aparthotel will be particularly suitable for travelers who wish to stay in Riga for a longer period – for weeks or even months.

The interiors and furnishings of both hotels were created by Latvian architects and designers, while the building’s reconstruction and restoration work was carried out by the Pillar Contractor team, with great attention paid to preserving the historical heritage.
