Pillar Contractor will build a new residential district in Sarkandaugava

On May 19, the Estonian real estate developer “Invego” signed a construction contract worth nearly 43 million euros with the company “Pillar Contractor” for the construction of the “Vītolu parks” residential district in Sarkandaugava. Construction work on the project will begin in the coming weeks.

“Vītolu parks” is planned as a residential district with 363 apartments in a landscaped environment and is one of the developer’s most significant projects in Latvia. The new Class A energy-efficiency residential district will consist of eight seven-storey buildings surrounded by a park with several courtyards, playgrounds, pedestrian and cycling paths, as well as sports and recreation areas.

“We are pleased that we will be able to apply our experience in the construction of energy-efficient apartment buildings to such an ambitious project. Building a residential quarter is a major responsibility, which we will carry out with the greatest care, considering every detail, because no detail can be too small in projects like this,” says Jānis Lāčaunieks, Chairman of the Management Board of Pillar Contractor, SIA.

“Vītolu parks” will be developed in four construction phases. Construction of the first phase will begin this month, and the first two buildings will be ready for occupancy next year. The architecture of “Vītolu parks” was created in cooperation with “Ruume arhitekti”.

In Latvia, “Invego” is currently developing the residential districts “Vītolu parks”, “Parka kvartāls” and “Skanstes rezidences”, as well as the terraced-house village “Vide Ādaži”.
