The reconstructed Konventa Sēta Hotel has been officially opened
After 6 years of reconstruction, the renovated hotel in Old Riga Konventa Sēta Hotel was ceremonially opened on May 16.
The hotel reconstruction was completed at the end of 2023. As part of it, the entire historic hotel complex was renovated, comprising 6 buildings, 161 high-class designer rooms and 4 conference halls suitable for both conferences and private celebrations.
In creating the hotel’s new interior, a new layout was introduced, major interior renovation was carried out, and the façades of all buildings were also restored and ramp access was built for people with special needs.
During the reconstruction, new internal utility networks were installed, external utilities were replaced, and a new interior design was introduced. The restaurant Two More Beers has opened in one of the hotel buildings, as well as the design café Cruffins. In addition to the reconstruction of the buildings, special attention was paid to improving the outdoor space of the hotel complex, preserving the historic feel of the place and its picturesque little streets.
AmberStone Hotels, SIA has begun establishing the Keystone Collection hotel chain, and Konventa Sēta Hotel is the first hotel included in this chain. It is managed by Keystone Management, SIA. A new 4-star apartment hotel, Carillon Aparthotel, is currently under construction, while a 4-star hotel in Old Riga is in the planning process; these will also be included in the Keystone Collection hotel chain.
The investment in the hotel’s renovation was made by Konventa Sēta Hotel, SIA, a company within the group of AmberStone Group, AS subsidiary AmberStone Hotels, SIA, investing nearly 15 million euros in the reconstruction. Thus, the conditions set out in the lease agreement concluded in 2017 with SIA “Rīgas nami” regarding the reconstruction of the buildings comprising the Konventa Sēta complex have been fully fulfilled. The agreement with “Rīgas nami” was concluded for 30 years.
The general contractor for the reconstruction work was Pillar Contractor, SIA. Project architects: Palast Architekts, AS and Pillar Architekten, SIA. Interior design – Vilnis Mičulis.
