The “Konventa Sēta Hotel” reconstructed by “Pillar Contractor” receives the Latvian Construction Annual Award

On March 7, 2024, for the high-quality reconstruction of the building, for which SIA “Pillar Contractor” was the main contractor, the “Konventa Sēta Hotel Keystone Collection” hotel took 3rd place in the “Reconstruction” category of the Latvian Construction Annual Award 2023.

The hotel reconstruction was completed in July 2023. It was carried out in three stages and lasted 6 years in total. Altogether, the hotel complex consists of 9 buildings, housing 161 high-class rooms and 4 conference halls. In creating the hotel’s new interior, a new layout was introduced, a major renovation of the interior spaces was carried out, and new internal utility networks were built. The façades of all buildings were also restored, and ramp access was built for people with special needs.

As part of the reconstruction, the hotel’s inner courtyard was also landscaped and all utility lines were replaced, as well as landscaping infrastructure built — from new soil to an irrigation system.

The Latvian Construction Annual Award 2023 competition is organized by the Building Design and Construction Council association; a total of 145 applications were evaluated.
