Work is underway on the creation of a new apartment hotel in Old Riga

This September, reconstruction and redevelopment began on the building owned by AmberStone Hotels at 13 Pils Street in Old Riga, where a new and modern apartment-type hotel will be created.
At present, work is actively underway to dismantle the basement ceiling slab and basement floor in order to strengthen the building’s foundations. Concreting of the basement ceiling slab and installation of waterproofing will begin soon, followed by the remaining reconstruction works and the fitting out of the hotel.
Taking into account the building’s history, which dates back to the 19th century, the hotel’s interior will reflect Art Deco design combined with modern technologies, while preserving its historic character and values. As part of the redevelopment, restoration work is also planned for historically valuable building elements, such as wooden windows and exterior doors.
The reconstruction is planned to be completed in spring 2025, and after the redevelopment the building will feature 61 apartments with refined design, offering guests everything needed for a pleasant stay in the heart of Riga – just a short walk from Riga Castle, Dome Square and other notable attractions.
The project is being carried out in cooperation with the architectural office Vilnis Mičulis and Architects, with reconstruction works performed by Pillar Contractor.
